19th April 2015 – Grand Canyon to Page

This morning we go to an 8:30 session in the local IMAX cinema to watch a film on the Grand Canyon. It is very interesting and has some fabulous photography. We have a 133 mile drive today to Page which is on lake Powell that the Colorado River runs into. Barney is driving with us again today in his MGA along with son Elliot.We stop for a last look at the Grand Canyon before driving out of the National Park.The drive into Page is through the painted desert which has beautiful coloured rock formations. It is a lovely drive through Navajo Nation territory with so much to look at. When we arrive at Page we take a drive out to look over Lake Powell. This afternoon we go on a boat tour of Lake Powell and up the Antelope Gorge that is very narrow with steep sides of beautiful multi-coloured
