11th January 2015 – San Javier to Temuco

We had an 8:00 am start on lovely winding MG roads heading to the Pacific Coast.  We visited several coastal villages before heading inland towards Temuco driving through Pine & Eucalyptus plantations.  We stopped in a seaside village and bought a double punnet of delicious strawberries for $2. We got our first view of snow capped mountains in the Andes from the road, with many more to appear over the next few weeks I’m sure. Spent the night in Temuco.
