Tromso – 27 June 2018

This morning we drive to the Arctic Cathedral and we decide to come back tonight to attend a Midnight Sun concert.  We drive into the city centre and visit the aquarium where we see seal, wolf fish.  We watch a movie about the Northern lights and the Arctic region.  We are there for the feeding of the seals when the handlers put the seals through a series of exercises where the play with balls & jump into the air to touch

We walk through the city malls past the world’s most northern protestant cathedral, that is undergoing maintenance, and the old town hall finishing in a square where we plan to have dinner this evening.

After a late tapis style Norwegian meal we make our way to the Arctic Cathedral for the Midnight Sun concert.  There is an organist/pianist, a saxophonist and a soprano.  The music in the wonderful cathedral with it’s beautiful stained glass window is fabulous, however when we leave the cathedral it is so overcast that we’re unable to see the midnight sun.
